I have been thought about moving to Mexico since 1971, have been bringing my children since 1978, as an African American Male, have been impressed with the lack of concern about my ethnicity unlike in the U.S. I am a writer, college educated, former police officer with military experience. I am retired from the airline industry with a small retirement and social security.
I studied Mexican Civilization in college, at one time spoke a little Spanish, want to go where I can live on what I have and possibly open a small bakery with my daughter and sweetheart. I can get to and from Mexico, inexpensively because of retirement benefits, from the airline industry, have timeshare at Royale Solaris in Cancun, but hope to rent a small home near Merida.
Please advise me on my options and transportation from the airport to Merida.
